Pommes De Terre Farcies
Pommes de terre farcies are basically stuffed
potatoes with sour cream. They are stuffed with cheese, Jalapenos, Green bell
peppers, and sour cream; these are not necessarily healthy but are quick, easy
and tasty. They can be made in an oven, microwave or on the pan. Let’s jump to
it!!!
Note! - Quantity: 3 potatoes
Ingredients:
1. Potatoes
– 3 washed
2. Cheese
– 4 slices
3. Green
bell peppers – ¼ minced
4. Jalapenos
– (Pickled and sliced) 3 slices minced
For the sour cream :
1. Heavy
whipping cream – 5 tbsp
2. Salt
– 1/8 tsp
3. Lemon
– 1-2 tsp
4. Milk
– 1/3 cup
5. Fresh
cream – ¼ cup
Recipe for the sour cream:
Add all the ingredients and whip for 3-4 min.
Recipe :
1.
Put all the potatoes in the microwave for 2-3 min and slice them in halves
(In this case I’m using the microwave. For the temperature, time of the oven
please go to the bottom of the page). Until they are soft enough to scoop
out some of the potatoes but not cooked.
2.
Make a hole in the centre of the potato half. But leave some flesh so
that the potato skin can stand and hold the ingredients we are about to fill
in.
3.
Add the green bell peppers, some cheese and jalapenos. Don’t forget to
put some cheese on the edge of the half when we join the 2 halves because cheese
acts like a glue.
4.
Also add in some sour cream which we made, in the potato.
5.
Finally let’s put it in the microwave for 1 min 10 sec. When you’re done
we have to join the 2 halves together to make it look like a whole potato
6.
To garnish let’s make a burnt butter sauce which is very easy as we only
have to burn butter on a stove.
7.
Let’s drizzle some more sour cream over the potatoes and it’s done !!!
Temperature for the
oven – 180 degrees Celsius / 350 degrees Fahrenheit
Time : 15 – 20 min (the first half) 2 min in the preheated oven the second half.
